Redditch United 0 Arnold Town 1
DESPITE dominating for long spells Redditch failed to carve out their chances and it was no surprise when they were punished with yet another late goal.
Arnold were there for the taking but the good work of wingers Matty Hall and Alex Cowley, who compounded United's woes by limping off with an ankle injury late on, was in vain.
Lee Booth took far too long when presented with the ball after a defensive mix-up in the 20th minute and the chance went.
Cowley was presented with a gift-wrapped chance two minutes later only to hit an air shot.
At the other end, Richard Anstiss saved one handed from Malcolm Brown in the 27th minute and Richard Field had to charge down a Stuart Coke drive four minutes later
Lee Knight forced a good save from Lee Broster in the 62nd minute but Jamie Marshall should have given the visitors the lead in the 76th minute when the Reds defence switched off to leave him unmarked from a free kick but he fired weakly at Anstiss.
Matty Hall forced Broster to tip round in the 79th minute and from the resulting corner sub Naved Arshad saw an effort hacked off the line.
But the hosts were predicatbly undone by a clever free kick routine a minute from time which saw captain Chris Hudson find the space to fire a simple chance home after leaving his marker.
