A TOT with a rare form of muscular dystrophy is set to receive a new wheelchair before Christmas thanks to the fund-raising efforts of an Astwood Bank woman.
Mum-of-three Linda Jones has returned home from a two-week, 3,843-mile motorbike ride around Britain known as the Fairy Godmother Challenge.
Mrs Jones, of Church Road, embarked on the challenge to raise £7,000 for an indoor and outdoor wheelchair for Amy Louise Collins.
The variation of the disease affecting the Berkshire youngster is known as Emery-Dreifuss and there is no treatment or cure.
Mrs Jones set off on the trip on September 15 with friend Sonja French, Amy Louise's aunt, whom she met through an internet biking site.
The bikers wore their leathers, as well as tutus and wings.
