INKBERROW has been chosen as a flagship village to trial a pioneering 'quiet lane' scheme aimed at deterring cars and encouraging walkers, horse riders and cyclists.
The project, which is set to be extended to other areas throughout the county, is being spearheaded by environmental consultants Halcrow.
A working group, including parish councillors, villagers and Worcestershire County Council, has been created and potential quiet lanes have been highlighted.
Narrow entrances to deter traffic, 'quiet lane' signs and rumble strips could be installed on the designated roads.
Anyone interested in finding out more can attend a quiet lane workshop this Saturday from 10am-5pm at the Pavilion in Sands Road, Inkberrow.
