GYMNASTICS: Nila Benfield marked her first veterans competition with second place in her age group at the West Midlands Regional Individual Team Apparatus and Veterans Championships.
The Wyre Forest Gymnastics School member competed in Worcester alongside younger team-mates who were in the team event.
In level five for eight and nine-year-olds, Alexandra Bennett, Danielle Perrins, Lottie Millington and Jade Hooper finished 10th.
The FIG (full code) team of Harriet Atterbury, Jessica Lane, Erin Taylor and Hannah Pietkowicz ended with a total of 24.25, giving them fourth.
At level four for 10-and-under, Aoife Carey-Jenkins, Alexandra Perry, Elizabeth Field and Abbie Yapp were equal fifth with 21.175.
The level three gymnasts, Jessica Gwilliam, Alice Poretty, Charlotte Crowley and Gemma Beddows, worked well together for fourth position.
At level two, Michaela Wilkins, Coral Richards, Cali Taylor and Chelsea Hodges met tough opposition, finishing seventh with 22.45.
