MARTIAL ARTS: Tsunami and Great Britain's senior cadet kata team followed up their World Championship success by taking a fifth consecutive national title at the Kimura Cup in Kidderminster.

The black belt team of Jennie Price, Kara Bennett and Emily Powell impressed to take gold at the Glades and were hotly pursued by the next rising stars.

Adam Zuibrzynski, Stephanie Hatch and Sophie Powell picked up their second national medal in a row with a bronze in the same competition.

Other highlights were Edward Fletcher's gold in his first contest, the adult junior grade kumite.

Price won the girls' 14 to 15-year-old kumite with Bennett second, while E Powell claimed bronze in the 12 to 13 kumite and Dave Powell managed a bronze in the veterans' kumite.

James Dean, D Powell and Fletcher took home a bronze in the open mens' team kumite.

Tsunami sensei Solfrid Daniels added two more golds to her collection in the individual kata and the kumite to round off a tremendous year for the club.
