THE smiles were back on Chaddesley Corbett faces as they returned to form with a 5-0 thrashing of Malvern Rangers in West Midlands League Division One South.
Horace McLeod and Russell Wright grabbed their first goals for the fourth-placed club alongside a Craig Pratt double and Richard Burton's penalty.
Goal-scorer Burton declared: "We were always going to give someone a good hiding and it happened.
"I was delighted with the team performance, my overdue return to form and the quality finishing."
Chaddesley opened the scoring on 10 minutes when Burton laid the ball off to McLeod who beat a defender and crossed for Pratt to powerfully head home.
They made it two in the 21st minute when Ian Vogel and Pratt combined to set up Alex Taffe who was brought down in the box, giving Burton his penalty chance.
Chaddesley effectively sealed the game on 35 minutes when Taffe's long ball found Pratt who out-paced the defence and slammed the ball past the Malvern keeper.
Their defence of Matt Baynton, Ben Vanes and man-of-the-match Drew Armstrong were superb in the first half.
But keeper Gareth Yarsley had to tip over Skelley's 35-yarder as Rangers started the second half strongly.
However, Chaddesley countered with Brian Burton hitting the post and sub Gavin Davies shooting narrowly wide on his debut.
McLeod extended the lead on 70 minutes by thumping home a mishit Taffe shot after Vogel's surging run before sub Wright followed up a rebound to complete the scoring.
