TITLE-CHASING Bewdley Town recovered from an unsettled first 20 minutes to win 2-1 at Mahal in West Midlands League Division One South.
The home side took the lead when Jarnal Sira headed home a corner but Bewdley went on to dominate the match.
Paul Field pushed the back-four up and they achieved the breakthrough with possibly the goal of the season.
Neil Turford and John Hardiman fed Keith Elliott who flicked the ball up over a defender and volleyed home from 25 yards.
Man-of-the-match Elliott grabbed his second when he ran onto a loose ball before later being denied by a superb save in the second half.
Neil Cronin also forced Mahal's keeper into action but Bewdley had to hold on for the final 15 minutes, clearing one effort off the line to clinch three points.
Ian Harvey was voted muppet of the week and Bewdley players will meet at Brintons at 1.45pm for Saturday's derby game.
