WE read about acts of violence, so I thought readers would like to know that there are still kind and caring people about.
On Friday, September 27 at approximately 9.40am, in Lickhill Road, I was on my way to keep a hairdressing appointment when I tripped and fell, knocking myself out.
A couple who, I believe, were in a car, saw me trip and stopped to help me. They telephoned for the paramedics and stayed with me until they arrived. They then went on to tell my hairdresser that I would not be there, because of my accident, found out my address and went to inform my husband who, unfortunately, was out, so they told my next door neighbour.
They did all this without revealing their names, so I cannot thank them in the usual way.
I thought the public should know such people are still about and will do all they can without wanting any reward.
I am now fully recovered.
