Evesham Utd U-11 1, Carterton Rgrs 0
EVESHAM went to the top of the Witney League on Sunday with a well earned victory against the then unbeaten league leaders.
The first half was even, although United created the better chances with Lance Smith going close several times. It was left to fellow striker Daniel Mitchell to break the deadlock when he gave United the lead ten minutes before half-time.
At the other end keeper Ben Parry scrambled at the feet of the Rangers' striker before a constant threat from through balls as Tom Adam Miles and David Huggins fired wide when a second goal would have settled home nerves.
