CHEESE buffs and food gourmets will love the new Regional Cheese Guide launched at the recent British Cheese Festival at Chipping Campden by Heart of England fine foods.
The guide is packed with details of cheese producers across the Midlands, featuring such specialities as Warwickshire Truckle, Elgar Mature and Hereford Hop.
With details of flavoursome and unique handcrafted cheeses made with the milk from cows, goats or ewes, The Cheese Guide is the first in a series of booklets set to explore the region's richness and diversity of food and drink from the Heart of England.
Published with funding from Advantage West Midlands, The Cheese Guide is freely available to shoppers at HEFF events.
HEFF chief executive Karen Davies said: "The West Midlands has an age-old tradition of handcrafting fabulously tasty cheeses with a distinct flavour and texture which is the envy of many countries.
"Over the next few months we will be featuring other food and drink and look forward to introducing more people to the delights of regional shopping from the Heart of England."
