HUNDREDS of commuters, shoppers and schoolchildren were affected when train services into and out of Kidderminster were delayed or cancelled on Monday morning.
A power failure in Stourbridge at 4am hit the entire local train network for nearly nine hours.
Services between Kidderminster and Birmingham and Kidderminster and Worcester were affected until 1.30pm.
Two out of a total of 15 Birmingham-bound services were cancelled.
Most trains were subject to delays, said a Central Trains spokesman. "It was a difficult start to the week for everyone involved.
"The services through Kidderminster are normally very busy."
