A PERFORMANCE by teenagers from St Anne's Bewdley Youth Theatre will bring the curtain down on the town's festival fringe schedule.
They will tackle Willie Russell's Our Day Out on Tuesday and Wednesday at Bewdley High School, with shows beginning at 7.30pm.
The comic musical follows a high school "progress class" from Liverpool and a day out to Conway Castle via a zoo, the seaside and a fun fair.
As the plot unfolds teenage romance blossoms, a deputy headteacher learns to relax and have fun and pupils return from the outing with new visions for their lives.
However the play, which features music and words from Chris Mellow and Bob Eaton, has a dark side as it also exposes some of the grim realities of life for schoolchildren in deprived inner-city areas through its innocent humour.
The cast members are all aged between 13 and 15.
Tickets are available from Bewdley High School or on the door.
