PROVIDED there is support, a daytime aerobics class will be held in the Memorial Hall starting after Christmas. The instructor will be Joy Pearman who already runs the popular Pilates courses and is an experienced tutor. Anyone interested should contact Joy direct on (01432) 820484 as soon as possible.
There have been some changes to the Memorial Hall committee. Firstly John Harrison has resigned and Allan Wood has taken over his post as vice-chairman. Secondly the 200 Club will have a new organisers: Shirley Willcox (The Briars, Ledbury Road) will take over from Muriel Norey who has devoted herself to this very valuable part of village fundraising for more than 11 years. Muriel built up the 200 Club from 99 to 205 members, persuading and cajoling all newcomers to join in. The amount one is asked to covenant over a year is not a huge sum and most people have had a return of £5 or £10 on a number of occasions. Muriel's dedication to the cause has raised a steady income for the village annually and her happy smile and sense of fun will be missed at committee meetings.
The forthcoming production by WHADS on October 25 and 26 is in the form of two one act plays with a number of short comedy sketches and a samba band. Reserve your tickets at £5 each from Alan Bennet on 633442 or Ian Adams on 635395.
