A TREE planting ceremony takes place in Hanley Castle tomorrow (Saturday).
The ceremony celebrates the village's success in the Best Kept Village of the Year competition.
Hanley Castle finished top in Worcestershire for villages with fewer than 300 people on the electoral register.
To mark this achievement, a tree will be planted by Bob Dale, chairman of the Council for the Preservation of Rural England, and Suzanne Owen, chairman of the Federation of Women's Institutes.
The ceremony will take place at the meeting of Church End and the main road, at noon.
