TWO county sports enthusiasts are hoping that their extraordinary determination and fitness will be a deciding factor when the team is selected to represent Great Britain in an ex-treme arctic adventure called the Fulda Tyres Challenge.
Following the successful completion of a fitness challenge at the Max Power Live show at the Birmingham NEC in July, Lloyd Barrett from Evesham and Worcester's Zoe Witowski have been invited to attend a final selection weekend at Stowe, Buckinghamshire tomorrow.
Barrett and Witowski will form part of an elite group of 12 finalists picked to take part in the last elimination event. Then two successful contestants, a man and a woman, will be selected to represent GB in the Fulda Tyres Challenge in Canada.
This is one of the world's toughest sporting events and takes place in the climatic extremes of Arctic Canada on January to 27 to February 7.
Teams from around the world will compete in events including kite-surfing and snowmobile racing.
