A LEDBURY mum-of-five's first public art commission has been unveiled at Hereford County Hospital.
Maxine Williams' mural has been put up in the children's ward of the hospital, which was opened last Friday by Princess Alexandra.
Mrs Williams, of Parkway, who graduated with a degree in design from Hereford Art College last year, said she was delighted.
"I've painted murals before, for family and friends, but this is my first major project, and it was very nice to be chosen so soon after graduating," she said.
The ward has a nautical theme, and Mrs Williams's mural shows a scene of pirates.
A second mural by Mrs Williams, at the Stonebow mental health unit, is also set to be unveiled.
Her next mural will be for Bromsberrow Primary School, which her children attended and where she was a governor.
