TIM Pinney says that I am not interested in facts. This is not so. Here are three that I find particularly repulsive.
Fact. That beautiful, timid creature the hare, is chased and after twisting and turning in a desperate attempt to save its life, is often set upon by pairs of hounds and killed. This event is gloated over by spectators and wagers laid on the outcome.
Fact. A stag will run for its life for hours and then, when terrified and exhausted, will be killed.
Fact. A heavily pregnant fox vixen was hunted and killed and her unborn cubs spilled on to the ground and also killed.
The hunting lobby has never disputed these facts. They just seek to justify them and maintain their "right" to do it for entertainment.
