A WORCESTER engineering company is celebrating a large order from Ford Cologne, in Germany.
Spin UK Ltd, in Bromyard Road, designs, manufactures and installs industrial control systems.
The company has recently secured a deal to supply an engine hot test facility for the German Ford plant.
Hot test is used to check the integrity of assembled engines.
It ensures the assembly process and additional sub-assemblies fitted to the engine maintain the high-quality standards designed into the full product range.
"This project includes the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of an acoustic enclosure, new electrical control system, mechanical service and handling systems and operator training," said Keith Rowbottom, sales manager.
Formed in 1999, Spin UK is part of the Spin SA Group, based in Barcelona, Spain.
It has achieved a reputation for high-quality control systems and the ancillary items required to carry out tests on a wide range of automotive products.
As well as testing facilities, the company also provides assembly solutions for a variety of technologies.
"A team of experienced engineers are available first of all to fully understand the customer's requirements, and then provide an efficient, cost-effective solution," added Mr Rowbottom.
