EVENING News readers have helped to make our birthday celebrations memorable by sending in thousands of competition entries.
There were 10 pages of competitions featured in last Wednesday's 65th Birthday Bonanza edition, with £10,000 worth of prizes donated by local businesses up for grabs.
Our offices have been inundated with entries, with five crate loads arriving yesterday morning alone.
"It was all hands on deck to sort out the post," said Evening News promotions executive Sarah Taylor.
"I'm absolutely delighted that all our readers decided to join in and celebrate our birthday and enter the competitions in their thousands.
"We look forward to notifying the winners in due course."
