IT'S not hard to sympathise with the people of Warndon today. The misery that's been caused them by the loutish behaviour of yobs seems never ending.
At the beginning of this month, we reported how two of Boomerang Bus Company's routes - the numbers 36 and 38, which go from the centre of Worcester to Warndon and back - were running sporadically due to vandalism and a lack of bus drivers.
Now, after the latest incidents of bricks being hurled at the buses on two nights running, the company has withdrawn the services.
Drivers have understandably decided that enough is enough and are no longer prepared to put their lives at risk around Cranham Drive, where both incidents took place.
It isn't hard to imagine a sequence of events leading to us reporting a tragedy, not a lucky escape after bus windows are shattered, next time.
It's obvious that no bus driver or passenger should be exposed to such danger - and that the solution is the same as it ever was.
Sooner or later a yob with a mouth bigger then his or her brain will brag about what they've been doing.
When they do, and before they cause seriously injury or even death, someone needs to pick up the phone, call the police and name names.
And what of the bus service? The county council is apparently seeking an operator to provide a temporary service. We wonder if anyone will be prepared to drive it.
