WORCESTER Athletic Club walkers competed in the Leicester Open seven-mile road walk.
Held in the village of Hungarton near Leicester, it proved to be a hilly and testing course.
Les Scrivens walked to form coming 19th of 40 starters in 69 minutes 45 seconds. John Marshall came 22nd in 77.40 in his best race for three years.
Both did extremely well on handicap, with Marshall (over 65) third and Scrivens fourth.
Steve Hollier, who came fourth in the Commonwealth Games, took first with U20 internationals Luke and Lloyd Finch second and third respectively.
