A LEISURE centre in the county has gained a prestigious industry quality award.
Evesham Leisure Centre has gained a Quest Award following a two-day assessment and a mystery visit during September.
The four key areas measured by Quest were facility operation, customer relations, staffing and service development and review.
Kay McBride, centre manager, said the centre, which also recently gained Investor in People status, was very proud of its achievement.
"With a score of 70 per cent, the result is significantly above the national average score for first-time assessments," she said.
"Quest is concerned with continuous improvement and we will continue to develop facilities and services at Evesham Leisure Centre."
Wychavon Leisure Community Association Ltd, which runs the Evesham centre, plans to apply for Quest accreditation at its other centres in Pershore and Droitwich during the next 12 months.
