TWO projects for teenagers in Wychavon can go ahead after winning Awards for All Lottery grants.
One is a drugs awareness programme to be held in 10 youth centres throughout the district and the other is a drama scheme for youngsters with Downs Syndrome.
Re-Action, a not-for-profit organisation, has received £4,628 from Awards for All to buy IT equipment and to get the projects off the ground.
Chairman Tiffany Hosking said the Lottery grant was matched with funds from Wychavon District Council for the drugs awareness scheme, which will start in December.
It will cost £3,000 and will involve forum theatre sessions open to the whole community.
West Midlands Arts is backing the £4,000 drama scheme for about 30 teenagers with Downs Syndrome, who meet in Pinvin.
"Starting in January, there will be 10 drama sessions involving music, movement and mask-making, culminating in a performance for the community," said Miss Hosking.
"We have a pool of four staff working on this and we will bring in other specialists."
