A NEW prickly arrival at West Midland Safari & Leisure Park is wowing the visitors to one of Worcestershire's top attractions.
Katie the baby porcupine was named after her keeper Kate Such, who celebrated her 21st birthday on the same day the prickly infant was born, four weeks ago.
She is the first baby porcupine to be born since they moved to their new home in Pets Corner a couple of months ago.
Out of 10 porcupines at the park, Katie will be spending the winter in heated accommodation, munching mainly on fruit and vegetables.
The Porcupine Exhibit will be open daily until Sunday, November 3, although Katie will be kept indoors until she is big enough to brave the winter.
