Residents calling for local improvements have received yet another blow to the pride they have in their district.
Local schoolchildren who have been comparing areas of Redditch in an economic survey of the town have been told to regard Headless Cross as a generally dilapidated area.
"Of course they're right," admits Headless Cross Residents' Association.
It claims the area is going to ruin because of delays in development.
Said secretary Margaret Morley: "Local life is being to die because of hold ups. Headless Cross could once again become a lively bustling place for families to settle."
