THE parents of a Redditch man who died in 1989 have helped to raise more than £4,000 to buy equipment for the Alexandra Hospital in his memory
This week, Les and Ina Bullock, parents of Peter Bullock, from Oakenshaw, saw the culmination of all their hard work when the equipment was donated to the Kingfisher children's ward.
Peter, 33, was a member of Inkberrow Young Farmers and keen fundraiser himself, who died from kidney failure nine years after a transplant. He also had Hodgkinson's Disease.
Mr and Mrs Bullock requested donations at Peter's funeral but the fund continued with help from his colleagues at Triplex, in Kings Norton, Birmingham, and the young farmers.
The QE Hospital in Birmingham, where Peter had a transplant, and Wordsley Hospital in the Black Country, where he died, have already benefited from the fund.
On Monday, Mr and Mrs Bullock and former Triplex director John Calvert donated two powered syringes, two cardiac monitors and a children's play kitchen to the Alexandra.
