REDDITCH and Bromsgrove police are holding a recruitment day on Sunday in a bid to sign up 300 officers by April.
Personnel manager Tracey Cooper said there were many misconceptions about the police - which officers are hoping to dispel during the day.
The Chief Superintendent will be at the event, at the Abbey Hotel from 10am-3pm, with constables and sergeants who will be answering questions.
Potential recruits should be at least 18 and a half and no older than 51 with all-round good fitness.
Candidates should ideally have five GCSEs but people will be considered on merit and experience if they do not have any qualifications.
Application forms and refreshments will be available and inquiries about the Special Constabulary will also be welcomed
