Environmental health chiefs are to meet the company behind a proposed sex shop in the town centre to discuss whether a licence for it is needed.
Bosses at Lovejoys.net claimed a licence was not needed to open a store next month but environmental health manager Steve Webster said an application was necessary.
Mr Webster said the confusion appeared to be down to the interpretation of the law and how much adult material a 'significant amount' was, necessary for a licence.
