IN THE last Hymatic AC match of the year fished at Weston-on-Avon peg 13 certainly didn't prove unlucky for club member Ray Richards.
Fishing his favourite area of the Avon he netted a chub of around 4lb together with another fish taken on float fished maggot and caster for a total of 4lb 10oz.
This was his first ever club match win and earned his victory in the 2002 Fur and Feather competition.
Close behind in second place was Dave Fisher with 4lb 9oz taken on float fished maggot.
In third place was Scott Poynton with 2lb 10oz and this was enough to bring Scott level with Dave Fisher on points in the final and deciding aggregate match.
After calculations on the number of wins Scott took the club aggregate championship for the second year in succession.
Also fished on the day was the knockout championship with John Oldfield defeating Dave Collier.
The river trophy series was also decided with victory going to John Blakemore in his first year at the club.
DARK Lane AC's Fur & Feather match was fished on Saturday on the River Arrow at Alcester.
In first place was Andy Simmonds with 14lb 2oz of chub which included a 4lb barbel from a swim on the Oversley Bridge field.
Second was top Alcester matchman Simon Howl from above the weir, with 9lb 10oz of chub.
Club match secretary Pete Quirke was third with 8lb 8oz followed by Mick Heard with 7lb 10oz, Clarry Partridge 7lb 6oz and Steven Spencer 5lb 12oz.
Aggregate winner for the current series was Tony Sabin by just one point over Simon Howl.
The next contest will be the M & B Cup on November 9. Names on board.
