HEADLESS Cross residents claim their area's history is being obliterated because of councillors approving too many demolition orders.
At a neighbourhood group meeting, one resident questioned councillors over why they would agree to houses being demolished when they had historical interest.
However, councillors did agree it was sad that buildings of historical interest did have to be destroyed to make way for modern developments.
One example discussed was in Feckenham Road, where there used to be many old houses where spring makers once lived.
Now only two remain standing.
