REDDITCH United Women hoisted themselves out of the bottom two with a welcome 4-0 win over league newcomers Banbury at the weekend.
The Studley FC side had to switch the fixture to the Abbey Stadium because Redditch Weatherguard needed the Beehive for a cup fixture.
But, despite the atrocious conditions, Steve Tayler's side coasted home with Sarah Edney and Rachel Hopkins bagging two apiece.
And the Redditch manager is coming through an injury crisis and said he was back to '90 per cent' of his first team squad at the weekend.
The result saw Redditch climb to third from bottom on goal difference on a weekend in which only three fixtures survived the wet weather.
Redditch have a break from Division One South of the West Midlands League on Sunday when they face reserve team Weatherguard at the Beehive in a friendly (ko 2pm) in aid of MENCAP.
The club have secured their first kit sponsor and wore their new shirts, sponsored by Prudden Road Surfacing, at the weekend.
