The Worcestershire Sporting Club, in association with Worcester City Amateur Boxing Club, is staging an amateur tournament at Worcester Rugby Club on Friday (October 25).
Boxing starts at 7.30 pm, and proceeds will benefit Worcester City ABC, Acorns Children's Hospice and other local charities.
The tournament is dedicated to the late John Jones, the former chairman of Worcestershire Sporting Club.
Juniors from Worcester City ABC will feature in supporting a number of bouts forming part of the Midland Counties Amateur Championships. It is anticipated that 12 bouts will take place.
Admission on the night is by ticket only (£10) and a limited number are still available from the boxing club or by calling John Curnock on 01905-353426.
The Worcestershire Sporting Club has hosted boxing and other events over the years in and around Worcester.
Funds raised are primarily directed at Worcester City ABC, the biggest achievement being the acquisition in 1986 for the club of a 99-year lease of the premises now used as a gym at a cost of £30,000.
