VILLAGES in part of Hagley are being asked in which parish council area they would like to live.
Part of the village is in the parish of Clent and Hagley Parish Council has applied for it to be transferred into its area.
Vince Harrison, head of administration at Bromsgrove District Council, has appealed to all villagers affected by the suggestion to register their feelings
"It is important that as many people as possible let the district council know their views," he said.
"Although both parish councils have already carried out their own consultation exercises, the district's consultation is being done from a neutral standpoint, so it really matters this time," Mr Harrison added.
The district council is now consulting all the people living in the area.
Around 550 households will be asked before deciding whether or not to recommend to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister that the change be made. Comments are being sought by Saturday, November 30, after which a report will be made to the council's electoral matters sub-committee. Any changes that may be made would not affect ecclesiastical parishes.
Details of the proposed changes can be found in a consultation leaflet which is being sent out to residents and can also be seen on the internet. The site address for this is www.bromsgrove.gov.uk/clenthagley.
