SPENDING a penny in the town centre on weekends is off-limits for at least another two weeks - sparking outrage from an Alcester councillor.
Bull's Head Yard car park toilets, the only public toilets in the town, have been closed since October 7 for an £18,000 upgrade by Stratford Council.
To relieve residents' fears, the district council has opened up alternative toilets in Globe House.
But this is closed on the weekends and outside of 9am to 5pm.
Mrs Weatherhead believes the closure has already affected visitors to the town after a coachload of ramblers pulled up in the Bull's Head Yard car park for a toilet stop, only to find them closed.
