A LAKESIDE pensioner is calling on elderly people to make their voices heard if they are unhappy with bus services in the area.
Joan Gallen, of Prospect Road, said she had already received many telephone calls from pensioners and would take their complaints to Councillor Mark Shurmer.
The Redditch Advertiser reported last week that Mr Shurmer had set up a petition demanding bus company First ensured its 64 service included Oakenshaw Road and for the frequency of services in Lodge Park, Greenlands and Lakeside be reinstated "to an acceptable level".
Mr Shurmer said the petition's demands would help 'limit the isolation and social exclusion of elderly people.'
Mrs Gallen added she had seen the service in Lakeside cut from four buses an hour to two.
