THE role of the German resistance during the Second World War proved to be an award-winning topic for a Herefordshire scholar.
Beryl Hoda won the Hallmark Prize for her outstanding history dissertation.
She concentrated her efforts on the activities of the women anti-Nazis in Germany. She undertook research into the women who stood up to be counted in Nazi Germany before and during the war.
Beryl has always been fascinated by history and was enrolled on a course at Kent University in Canterbury prior to her move to Eardisland in Herefordshire.
She has graduated with a BA (Hons) in history.
