TWO Victorian oil paintings by Worcester's greatest painter, Benjamin Williams Leader, will be going under the hammer in New York for an estimated £77,000.
Leader's 1886 picture, When The West With Evening Glows, is expected to sell for the highest amount during the auction at Sotheby's next Tuesday, October 29.
His second picture, the 1882 image, Sunshine After Rain, is likely to sell for about £26,000 among the collectors expected for the sale.
