PARISH COUNCIL: The October meeting was held at Lower Moor Village Hall.
The vice-chairman welcomed Mrs O Smith onto the council as a co-opted member to fill the recent vacancy.
Highways: No response has yet been received on the long outstanding issue to re-surfacing a specific area of Church Lane. The chairman (coun McDonald) would be asked to pursue this matter with WCC Highways Department.
Coun Lampard said Wyre Piddle Garage had received permission to erect directional signs once the bypass had been completed. It was not known where these would be placed
Planning Applications: Mr C. Walker - outline planning for agriculture dwelling with office off Church Lane. Opposition to this plan was strongly expressed.
Coun Martin took no part in respect of this application.
Mr and Mrs Bird - Joneila, Throckmorton Road, Hill - Removal of condition limiting occupation of the dwelling. There were no objections.
Simms & Woods - Balancing Pond. Although strong objections were made by the council
and residents, permission was given by the WDC Planning Department.
Mr Tinker - Bourton-on-the-Hill - demolish existing structure to be replaced with a brick bungalow. No objections.
Councillor Issues: Coun Gordon asked if arrangements could be made to repair the safety matting in the children's playground
The next full parish council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 7.
