GEORGE Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man is being staged at the Theatre, Chipping Norton, next Tuesday.
Presented by Michael Friend Productions, it is set against the background of a war between Bulgaria and Serbia.
Described by Shaw as an "anti-romantic comedy", the play was an attack on the popular heroic view of war.
