EQUESTRIAN: Show jumping star Laura Cohen has passed the 30-win mark for the year with her trusty horse Harry M.
The 17-year-old's biggest achievement was to qualify for the final round of the National Trailblazers Showjumping Championships with a great display at Gracelands Equestrian Centre, Elmbridge.
But the Chaddesley Corbett teenager was to suffer heartache when a back injury ruled her out of the big contest at the National Agricultural Centre in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire.
Cohen, however, still has plenty of reasons to be cheerful after triumphing in competitions at Severn Valley Riding Club, Halesowen and Hagley Farmers Club and Bromsgrove and District Riding Club among others.
The college student, who has been riding since she was just two-years-old, also qualified for the Central Horse News' most stylish rider awards.
Her main interest is showing which involves working hunter classes, riding club horse and best rider as well as competing in British Show Jumping Association events.
But Cohen is surprised by her success after last year's events were wrecked by the foot-and-mouth outbreak.
She said: "The more time and effort you put into your sport, the more you will achieve out of it. Harry M is a star.
"This has been my first time competing at national level and so far I have been very successful."
