HOCKEY: A Matt Boden hat-trick led Chaddesley Corbett to fourth spot in DTZ League West Midlands Division Two with a 6-2 thumping of newcomers Atherstone Adders.
Boden's first came against the run of play as Atherstone started the brighter of the two sides.
But the next two came quickly, putting Chaddesley 3-0 ahead inside 25 minutes.
Atherstone pulled one back before the break but Jay DaCosta struck his fourth in three games on the stroke of half-time.
Atherstone narrowed the gap at the start of the second half but Sam Boden dashed their hopes in the 57th minute, following up his brother Tom's strike from a short-corner.
Julian Fallows added the sixth goal as Atherstone failed to clear a short-corner.
M Boden's hat-trick was the first in the league for Chaddesley since Dave Perry scored four in a 5-4 defeat against Hampton-in-Arden in 1987.
