Another Mr Versatile, long-serving Smith signed for Harriers in 1997 for £19,000 from non-league rivals Bromsgrove Rovers.
Smith's performances in non-league earned him three caps for the England semi-professional team as well as a Nationwide Conference team of the year place during the championship win.
Surprised many with six goals from midfield during the first season in Division Three but is now the new right-back under Ian Britton.
Smith has tremendous aerial ability despite being under 6ft tall and also boasts excellent pace.
