A serial burglar has been jailed for three years after being found guilty of breaking into a Stourport house and stealing a £100 music centre.
It was Ian Titley's sixth conviction for burglary in three years. "You are a nuisance to people living in Stourport," said Judge Frank Chapman.
Titley, 25, who had been staying at his father's flat in Linden Avenue, Stourport, had pleaded not guilty to burglary at Worcester Crown Court but admitted handling stolen property.
The prosecution alleged he had taken the music centre from a house in Old Ford Walk, after forcing the front door.
After an unsuccessful attempt to sell the property, he hid it beneath bushes. He told the court another man was the thief and he had just been asked to sell it.
Judge Chapman said Titley had tried to "wriggle out" of the theft when he realised he faced a minimum sentence of three years' jail because of his record.
