THERE were mixed fortunes for FISSC in last weekend's Stratford and District Alliance programme.
The club's senior side moved three points clear at the top of the Journal Premier Division when a goal from Will Thomas was sufficient to see off the challenge of Shipston Excelsior, who now occupy the bottom rung.
However, FISSC Reserves now find themselves the basement side in Herald Division One after losing 4-1 at Claverdon.
The Old Boys scored through Rich Beddows, Darren Page, Malc Wilkins and Keith Checketts to record their first league win and move off the bottom.
At the other end of the table, Sportsmans Arms increased their advantage to eight points after two goals from Matt Taylor in a 3-0 success at Quinton.
Closest rivals, Stratford Spartak, dropped two points at Alcester Lions as they surrendered their first league points of the season.
Bidford were celebrating their first top flight win as a Chris Rowberry double helped overcome Henley Forest 4-2.
However, the club's second string are still winless in Cutler Division Two after going down by the odd goal of three at Henley Forest.
Alcester Cross Keys hit seven goals without reply at Kenilworth to remain five points clear of Dog and Pheasant, 3-1 winners over Long Compton, at the top.
After being readmitted to the league only last month, Redditch have been forced to withdraw.
