STAR man Mike Harper scored the only try as Stourport lost 15-5 in a tough friendly with higher-ranked Wednesbury.
Preparing for Saturday's North Midlands One trip to Bromyard, they faced a dominant pack of much larger forwards which led to three first-half tries.
The first resulted from a scrum on the Stourport 10m-line and the second was an individual effort from the inside-centre.
Wednesbury's impressive number eight scored their final try after a great run from his own half.
Stourport worked their way back into the game and grabbed the best try of the match.
Fly-half Richard Dorrell threw a long pass to full-back Malcolm Bourne who popped the ball to Harper and he rounded his man to crash over.
