ONE team should open their account for the season when Chaddesley Corbett and Bewdley clash in North Midlands Three on Saturday.
Both of the Wyre Forest rivals are still searching for their first win to pull themselves away from the bottom of the table.
Bewdley go into the derby on the back of an 81-0 mauling at the hands of a strong Dudley Wasps side on Saturday.
They found the going difficult from the start and quickly realised the game was going to be a damage limitation exercise.
Dudley carved through the defence for the first 20 minutes but Bewdley performed positively in the scrum.
However, they lost hooker Neil Nicholson with a leg injury midway through the first half with Andy Horton making a return in his place.
Dudley's pace on the flanks allowed them to score freely though powerful tackling from Bewdley backs slowed the scoring down.
They continued to show spirit and resolve but the scrum tired in the last 10 minutes as Dudley showed they will be a force to be reckoned with in their first season of league rugby.
Fixture, Saturday: Chaddesley Corbett v Bewdley (3pm).
