A rummage sale will take place on Saturday, November 9 at Mamble village hall, starting at 2.30pm.
Nominations have been taken for next year's committee.
The October speakers were Mr and Mrs John Powell, who showed a collection of dissected wooden jigsays. These old jigsaws have straight edged pieces, rather than the interlocking pieces in modern puzzles.
John Spilsbury, who worked for a printer, Thomas Jeffries, began making jigsaws in 1763.
These early jigsaws were in the form of maps and historical pictures, and were used to educate children, as they were accompanied by books.
Mr Powell brought his talk up to date by showing puzzles made in the 30s and 40s, and jigsaws used for advertising purposes.
The annual meeting will be held on Monday, November 11, in the village hall, starting at 7.30pm.
