A VALE of Evesham dairy farmer was named reserve champion handler at a national show at the National Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh.
Steven Miller, aged 23, is a member of the Miller dairy farming family at Greville Hall Farm, Hinton-on-the-Green, Evesham, where they run an award-winning herd of black and white cows with the Shanael prefix.
Handlers from all over the British Isles competed in the prestigious show and Steven, who qualified in the regional heats at Bishops Cleeve last month, was just beaten to the supreme award in the final line-up.
"It was a good effort and we were very pleased," said his father, Mike Miller.
