THE Spa family of a missing rugby player, presumed dead in the Bali nightclub bombing, have been told it could be an agonising two months before his body is recovered.
Paul Holmes, of Grosvenor Way, Droitwich Spa, has been told that it could be nearly Christmas before they find his brother Tom, who was last seen drinking in the Sari nightclub at the time of the bombing on Saturday, October 12.
Tom, a 39-year-old civil engineer who moved to Hong Kong seven years ago, was on a rugby tour with his team. He was last seen in the Sari nightclub with team-mates before the bomb went off outside.
Paul described Tom as a "wonderful and loving son, brother and uncle" and said his family were taking comfort in the fact that he was enjoying himself with friends before the tragedy.
It is still unclear who is responsible for the atrocity, which claimed the lives of nearly 200 people - many of whom are still unaccounted for.
