Handrahan Timbers 0,
Pershore Tn 4
SATURDAY'S one-sided ICIS Midland Combination Premier Division match saw Town take until six minutes into the second period to finally break the stalemate.
It was amazing that the sides went in level at the break mainly due to frantic defending by the home side and waywardness in front of goal on Pershore's part.
However, Simon Judge rose superbly to head in Tony McLean's centre and, seemingly, to open the floodgates. That didn't happen and it took three goals in six minutes to record what was a most comfortable of victories.
Judge's shot from acute angle could only helped into the net by a defender and, two minutes later, Simon Brain's delicate shot from 25 yards made it 3-0.
Manager Nigel Russell made a double change 15 minutes from time and one of his replacements, Lee Tustin, smashed in the goal of the game with a thunderous volley just two minutes later.
Town made a superb fightback to defeat Feckenham 4-3 on Tuesday.
Trailing 3-1 at half-time, Brain and Chris Allen added to Jon Gregory's first half strike before Paul Concannon headed the winner five minutes from time.
